An update on our International Economy service

From July 2023, our International Economy service will no longer be offered through MyPost Business.

The service remains available at standard rates  over the counter at a local Post Office.

Cost-effective international delivery

When speed isn’t the highest priority, and what you are sending is of low value so you don’t need tracking, choose our International Economy service.

Economy Air Letter: Non urgent letters and documents, printed material with no commercial value 

Greeting Card: Postcard or greeting card enclosed in a sealed small letter size envelope and endorsed CARD ONLY

Economy Air Parcel: Non urgent low value parcels up to 2kg

Economy Air comes with up to $100 compensation for loss or damage. Extra Cover provides additional loss or damage3 cover up to $500.

If your item is lost or damaged while being carried by Australia Post and you haven't purchased Extra Cover, you may still be eligible for compensation.4

International Economy is suitable for sending items up to $100 in value. If your item is valued over $100, you should purchase Extra Cover3 – it provides loss or damage cover from $100 up to $500. Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, if your parcel is lost or damaged, and you haven’t purchased Extra Cover, compensation of up to $100 and a postage refund may be payable.5
